Full Coverage makeup with Jane Iredale Makeup

With Holidays and Christmas parties around the corner, many of us are starting to think about what makeup to wear for those special occasions. Below is my full coverage transformation for those of us that need that extra help covering scars, acne, dark spots, or simply for those that want that full coverage radiance but without that cakey look.  My face look using the jane Iredale products.

Step 1

First of all I wash my face and I apply a moisturizer with SPF 30. You always want to apply your makeup on a clean, fresh face. Second, I apply their Smooth Affair Primer on my oily T-Zone. This primer has a mineral technology that color-adjusts to your skin so you can touch it up for extra oil control throughout the day. It smooths away my pores and it helps my makeup goes on so easily and even and it really controls the oils of my skin. It has a watery consistency and a citrus scent to it.

Step 2

I apply their Glow time Full Coverage Mineral BB Cream in the shade bb6. I have to say this is not a BB cream, it is a full coverage foundation with a dewy finish. A little goes a long way. The consistency is velvety smooth and it has a light citrus smell as well. What I love the most about this foundation is that it doesn't look heavy at all or like I have a mask which is very common with full coverage foundations. It has a SFP 25. It is also Hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic which means it doesn't clog pores. I always set my foundation with a translucent power plus I spray my makeup setting spray and this foundation lasts me all day long.

Step 3

I apply on my cheeks their 24 Karat Gold Dust Shimmer powder in Champagne and on top of it I apply a rose cool tone blush to get a halo highlight effect. I also used on all my eye lids and lower lash lines because I want this beautiful shade to be the center of attention on my eyes. This shimmery powder is so fine milled that you can use it so many ways. I can't wait to buy the other colors. I applied a black and blue liner. I also cut in my crease using a purple/brown shade to intensify the outer corner of my eyes.

Step 4

For this final step I applied their Lip Fixation Lip Stain/Gloss in the shade Cherish which is a berry/pink tone. With this lip product you can get two different looks. If you only use the lip stain you will get a satin finish. The consistency is very creamy and easy to wear, highly pigmented, and the lasting time on me was about 6 hours. When it wears down, it leaves behind a pretty even stain color. If you apply the gloss on top you will have a glossy chrome effect. The gloss has microscopic purple, pink, and a white shimmer in it. Both lip products have a doe foot applicator that holds a good amount of product and goes on smoothly and not sticky. They have a yummy bubblegum scent to them.

 With Lips Gloss On

Without Lips Gloss and One Easy Swipe

If you want the lip color to last longer, I recommend that you apply the lip stain first and let it dry for about 1 minute. Then apply the lip gloss on top, that way when the lip products wear down, you will still have that pretty pink color on. ;)

.. Dillard's The EDGE Beauty Collection ..

When it comes to a luxurious formula, EDGE Beauty didn't disappoint me. Perfect for the holidays, they have so many beautiful and high end formulation products to choose from. Below are some of them.

I got the chance to sample their Iconic Blush in the shade Sultry which is a matte neutral/cool tone shade. It will give your cheeks that natural pale/rose flush that we all want. The formulation is incredibly soft and fine milled, it is just a pleasure to apply it. It is very pigmented so you only need a little amount to get the color to pay off.  It is not patchy at all and it blends out like a dream. It comes in an elegant hard core metallic package that includes a big mirror inside which is so handy when traveling. To open it you need to slide down the top part. How fancy? They have a total of 4 shades available.

Can we take a moment to appreciate the package, it is just so beautiful and unique!

The EDGE Beauty Iconic Lipstick in Boho.

This shade is a medium brown/rose that will be flattering on almost every skin tone. The pigmentation is outstanding! The formula goes on so smoothly. I believe it is because it is formulated with Vitamin E. It applies without bleeding into your lines or accentuating dryness, and sets with a beautiful satin sheen. The wear time on me was exceptional, about 6 hours with light eating and drinking. It gives my lips that extra moisture which I really need especially with this cold weather. I adore the chocolate smell it has, I just want to eat it, lol! They have this in 8 assorted colors. I can't recommend these products enough, especially for those of us who like effortless makeup.

It comes in a very modern silver and white package that includes a mirror in the top part and you click the bottom part to open it. I keep mine in my purse because it is travel friendly and also one of my favorite lipsticks.

The EDGE Beauty products are animal cruelty and paraffin/paraben free. Their prices are very affordable for the type of quality they offer.

I have never talked about my favorite makeup brushes before because I didn't find any that really make me feel that excited, you know! Until I found these Cicero brushes. I have heard so many times my friends say "this product is not pigmented, I can barely see the product"! But have you thought that maybe the problem is not the product, it is your makeup brushes that are not picking up the makeup. Because yes, a good makeup brush can make a huge difference in how your makeup applies and looks. I showed my friends how the makeup they could barely see with their makeup brushes, applies beautifully with my Cicero brushes.

Japonesque Pixelated Color Eye Shadow Palette

The colors pigmentation in this palette are totally incredible, they are buttery smooth, no fall out what so ever and you don't need any primer with this palette because they are extremely pigmented. This palette is divided in two sides, the left side has the "Pro Basics" that are the neutral shades that complement perfectly the other side of this palette called "Pixelated Color". Those are the bold and smokey shades. These colors are totally multifaceted and if you change the base that you are using before applying these shadows, they will look completely different. The limitation of this palette is your imagination. You can also combine them and create your own multichrome shade. You can use these colors in so many different ways. I'm just obsessed with it! I was thinking on including it in a review with other products but it is just so beautiful that it deserves it's own review. This palette has a totally unique versatility that I haven't seen in any other smokey eyeshadow palette yet.

Shades description: 1) Cream satin 2) Cream shimmery 3) Matte brown/taupe 4) Deep black matte 5) Metallic Silver 6) Multidimensional green teal with blue and violet shimmer in it. 7) Multidimensional violet shade with blue, purple shimmer, and a smokey charcoal base 8)Multidimensional gray with a charcoal base 9) It is a bronzy/coppery 10) Multidimensional purple with purple and blue shimmer. The purple shades may look similar but they have different bases and look very different to each other. The package is a very sturdy cardboard.

My Look Using shades 1,3,4 and 7

This other one using shades 2, 3 and 10

These photos don't do justice to the beauty and multi-dimensionality of these shades. Highly recommended.

................. My Skin Care Ruotine .............

Hi! I hope you guys had a wonderful Thanksgiving surrounded by friends and family as I had. It has been a long time since I updated my skin care routine, so in today's post I am including the products I have been testing for two months now and I have being seeing great results. I like to change my skin care routine every 3 to 6 months because I don't want my skin to get acostumed to just certain products/ingredients. When I am looking for new skin care products I like to use a couple from the same brand because I find out that I get better results like that since different brands use different ingredients and they may not go well together.

First of all I have combination skin type, oily T zone and dry cheeks.  I'm also in my late twenties and I already have some fine lines on my forehead, around my mouth, and eye area. I am more concerned about my under eye area because I also have very bad dark circles and under eye bags. I guess it is age but also being a mom, waking up very early, and always running here and there. I decided to try some products from Nuxe Paris because they use high quality ingredients.
All their products are Paraben and comedogenic free, made in France.

This is my step 1! This is a fully concentrated face serum that includes natural ingredients like passion flower, Hyaluronic Acid, Anchusa, Poppy, and Cocoa cell that has helped me diminish dark spots and even my skin tone. I have noticed that my skin looks more luminous and with that extra healthy boost. The texture of this serum is light, hydrating, but not greasy and smells like fresh fruit. I apply it after washing my face and let it absorb into my skin for about 3 minutes.

Step 2! This cream is for a normal skin type. I like using it at night after the Nuxellence serum is totally absorbed into my skin. Some of the ingredients in it are Peony and Blue Lotus Seed that delivers antioxidants to my skin and gives it that healthy glow. I have noticed that my skin looks much firmer and the fine lines of my forehead appear to look soft. It has a super light texture and disappears into my skin in just seconds. I really like that it doesn't have that thick consistency like the majority of wrinkle creams. Smells like baby lotion to me.

Step 3! This is by far my favorite product because I can see the improvement of my under eye area right after the first week of use. The puffiness and the bad under eye bags/circles are totally under control and my skin feels and looks smoother, you can use it morning and night time. It almost has like a watery texture and it has a tingle and fresh sensation just after applying it. Some of the ingredients in it are vitamin E, cacao extract, and caffeine.

What are your skin care concerns? Thank you so much for reading.

I recommend these products because they personally work for me and my skin type and needs. But remember every one is different, if you are in a dermatological treatment consult your doctor first.
